State Of Emergency Extended For Additional Four Months


The Ethiopian regime led has extended the State of Emergency, first declared in October 2016, by four more months today.

Following that, the House of Peoples’ Representatives (HPR) has today decided to extend the nationwide State of Emergency for additional four months after discussing on remarks presented by the State of Emergency Inquiry Board for its extension.

Siraj Fegessa, Secretariat of the State of Emergency Command Post and Minister of Defense, attributed the reason for the extention as some “anti-peace elements were still active in some parts of the country, some of those who took part in the protests have not yet been apprehended, protest flyers are still being distributed and to make the relative stability better and sustainable. ”
