Samsung to Open Digital Village in Ethiopia


Samsung Electronics Africa  announced plan to launch Digital Villages in Ethiopia, Kenya and Tanzania this year.

A Digital Village is a hub where community members can access educational and health solutions.

Abey Tau, Corporate Citizenship and Public Affairs Manager made the announcement today at the 2016 Samsung Africa Forum in Johannesburg, South Africa.

The aim is to make sure that every African child has access to education no matter where they are on the continent, using state-of-the-art digital technology enjoyed by children in developed countries, Tau said.
