Growth Africa,Kenya based business accelerator and iceaddis Ethiopia’s first innovation hub announced their partnership with the aim of accelerating Ethiopia based business. During the Feb 18th MoU was signing both parties expressed the important of having Ethiopia’s first startup acceleration in allowing startups to transfer their business to larger scale.
As Africa’s second most populous country, Ethiopia has a high potential for exciting new business and investment opportunities. The partnership will be kicked off with the delivery of a startup acceleration programme for high-impact businesses and entrepreneurs with scaling potential. The cohort-based programmes are designed to equip entrepreneurs with business knowledge, access to funders and investors and coaching opportunities.
GrowthAfrica’s decade long experience in the African entrepreneurship scene and iceaddis´ Ethiopian expertise is an impactful collaboration hoping to support and drive investments into Ethiopia and leverage promising local startups and entrepreneurs.
After 14 years of experience in Kenya and a first Ugandan acceleration programme starting in March, GrowthAfrica possesses a wide network of international and East African ecosystem players in Eastern Africa and international that the organization is determined to connect to business opportunities in Ethiopia to support the momentum of continued growth in the country and to create strong linkages between African entrepreneurs and startups.
During the MoU signing Ian Lorenzen,Growth Africa’s Executive Director and Partner stated “We are excited to partner with iceaddis, an Ethiopian startup pioneer, to deliver the Country´s first startup acceleration programme,”
