Google Grants For Africa Code Week: Apply Now.

Apply for a Google Micro Grant by September 2, 2016 midnight (SAST) to enable you to host Computer Science activities for Africa Code Week in October 15 – 23, 2016.

The African Coding Week with the mission to empower future generations with the coding tools and skills they need to thrive in the 21st century workforce and become key actors of Africa’s economic development creates opportunity for all those keen about the advancing tech world all around, to catch up and move ahead.

Google wants all students to have the opportunity to learn and get excited about computer science (CS). To spread the excitement about Africa Code Week (ACW 15 to 23 October 2016), Google has funded the Cape Town Science Centre to offer small grants (up to $1000 USD) to organizations and grassroots groups who want to run initiatives to give more kids (aged 5-18), especially those who may not have access to many CS learning opportunities, a chance to engage with computer science.
